Longer rear brake cable?

Post by Fishman43 »

Sort of Performance Technical...

Feeling like my, uh, Elite's motor mount wasn't sufficient I had it streatched 2" for that slightly longer look. Now as I try to put my plastics back on the cable is to short to fit through the neck, and it I turn left that only gets worse. Where oh where is a guy to turn for a longer brake cable? If there is somewhere with an ultra quick turn around even better as I would really like to make it to a local ride this weekend! Thanks!!!

I am sure there are some places that can custom make you a brake cable but not sure about where to order one already made. If push comes to show just use the front break and pump it before you actually reach where you intend to stop :D lol

I found a slightly longer cable on flea-bay for my Aero 125 when I moved the rear brake from the floor to the lefthand handlebar. I messaged the seller for the cable length.

I got lucky this afternoon and found a junker parts scoot (some unknown Chinese POS) at a local motorcycle service place that had a rear cable 3 inches longer than my stock one. Worked perfect, now I just have to hope the rain clears out for tomorrows ride!
