Body styles

I dunno where to post this, but I guess I'll put it here. See, My 1989 Elite SB 50 has most of the body panels gone, and the bottom of the front panel is snapped. Recently, I saw a pic of an 87, and all the body panels appeared connected. Was there a body style difference between the 87 and 89, do I have just the front part of one huge panel, or did I not see the picture right?
