Cold Weather= Spree won't start

Post by naveen93 »

My 85 spree has been running great all season, but the past few days have been cold/rainy and I store my spree outside, now it won't kick start (the taillight does come on and when I kick the front headlight lights up a little). I don't use my electric start since the battery to my knowledge is dead. Can anyone give me some tips or insight as to why it won't start? I use my spree daily and it would be great to have it up and running again.

Thanks,

Greetings:

Questions:
All stock setup?
Includes air box and well-oiled filter element?
Have you tried simply changing the spark plug? (Sometimes that's all it takes...)

Yes all stock, It does have an air box and an oil filter. I have an extra new spark plug for a 86 honda elite 50 would that work in my spree?

Thanks for the help

Greetings:

There was no Honda Elite 50 in 1986. The standard plug on the '86 Aero was BPR-6. Confirm the same spec for the Spree and try it. It should be OK to see if it starts at leas.
