speedo not working ?

was riding my 92 elite the other day and the speedometer suddenly stopped working, everything else works, all the bulbs etc and the fuel gauge still works so im thinking its the speedo cable, if it is how do i go about changing it ? looked in manual but cant find anything, thanks.

There is a phillips head screw on the front hub that holds the speedo cable in... make sure that it didn't back out allowing the cable to slide back and out of contact.

check for broke cable
or stripped drive gear in hub

screw hasnt backed out, drive gear seems fine cant get access to speedo cable completely to see if its broke, but guessing that it is the speedo cable, is it simple case of plug in at the speedometer and plug in at hub ?
