Greetings:

9:1 is pretty good on a stock block if it's producing good power. Mine went 49 with ZERO Engine mods, only the gears and a big variator and tire. Once you big-bore, the 9s will be a little short. You'll regain faster-than-stock take-off but it won't increase your speed very much unless the Big-Bore can rev higher than stock. At that point, you may want to swap again for 8.44s or whatever your riding needs and engine power dictate.

9:1 gears set

You can put them on with the stock bore and they will do fine but it won't be very whippy on acceleration. As for with the kit, you will probably be fine to use them but depending on the kit, you may want something a little taller. Don't forget to upjet!

Am I wrong that these will fit in a af50e motor with some shimming?
