'01 SA50P - Destrict Question (Variator)

Post by swflcarl »

Here is what I have been working on yesterday:
* Installed SR oil pump and new split throttle / oil cable
* Knocked out 2nd tab on air box / new air filter too
* 88 Jet Installed
* No washer or restriction on exhaust pipe any more.

Looking for the variator 'washer' that is has been mention? I looked at the part index at Honda for the SA50 and SA50P... same diagram?

Is the seal "22126-GAH-600" that so called washer? It looks to hold the roller weight from coming off the drive face? Is this the item ('washer') to be removed. This SR part diagram has this part but is not listed below?

Only getting about 31-32 MPH?

Anyway - someone's assistance would be appreciated.

I am looking as well for an aftermarket variator suggestion (and weights if it doesn't come as a kit). I don't plan on changing anything else - stock trans gears and SA50P clutch springs.

From what I read the larger the diameter of the drive face the better... what is the largest size drive face that fits without problems. Looks like stock is 105 MM.

Thanks for your replies.
I'm more than happy to explain it to you. I'll even draw you a picture! But I can't understand it for you.
