Quick question regarding 2000 honda elite sr brake pad sizes

Post by okrueger183 »

Just curious if anyone knows the correct brake pads I should buy for my 2000 Honda elite sr. By size, I mean the model and hole spacing. The link below has some options.

http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/scoo ... -pads.html

I want to order the parts and have them ready before I take apart my scoot, but I can't find anywhere the correct size of pads.

Here's another link with the service manual for the scoot. I scoured it but can't seem to find any brake pad sizes.

If anyone knows, or coud help me find this out that would be great. I'm looking for front and rear brake pads.

Thanks in advance.

Two choices for the aftermarket shoes from ebc. Grooved or not.
EBC 333 or EBC 333G G means grooved obviously

Here is the link to all of the part numbers you could want :-)

Your local dealer can prob. order the shoes for your scoot pretty easy, my Honda deal gets me ebc shoes for my Hondas out of their aftermarket catalogs in a week. That is if you don't want to order online.

Does anyone have any experience with the 333G ? I just put a set on my scoot. Haven't used them yet, but I've used EBC stuff in the past and they have always been gokd. Can't really go wrong for less than $20 I guess. I was looking at the more expensive Malossi shoes, which I am sure are good also, but some people have said they dont work that well unless they are hot. I'm sure they use a higher temp friction material. Not sure if it is ideally suited for normal street use.
