I need some help. Drive face problems.
So I was loosening the bolt on my drive face to get the belt on. and I'm pretty sure something went wrong. I'm bad with part names so bear with me. In order to losen the bolt you have to keep the shaft coming from the motor still. http://i.imgur.com/PecBMl.jpg. But to do this you have to put this part #2 http://images.cmsnl.com/img/partslists/ ... 8_5fd3.jpg in some kind of clamp or chainwhip. to keep it still. So something slipped. And it all turned with the bolt staying still. So I must have stripped either the shaft from the engine. Or part number 2 in that diagram. Which is more likely to strip? And how bad is it if its the actual shaft from the engine that stripped? Its hard for me to explain so I apologize of anyone's confused

The "shaft coming from the motor" is the crank shaft. Looks like this http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... =2&t=26743
If you messed up the shaft, then thats a big problem because youre going to have to split the engine cases and that requires some tools. But I don't think you messed up the shaft. When you say it all turned but the bolt stayed still, do you mean the bolt turned along with the crank shaft and part #2 (thats what its supposed to do)? A video would be a lot easier to help us help you.

Sorry that part is confusing. I explained it horribly. The shaft turned. With the bolt. and Part #2 stayed still. which is the bad part.

maybe you just loosened the nut enough that the drive face (#2) slipped off the splines of the crank, and spun. just get it off, and check. i would use an impact gun to do it fast.
