Why is my spree shutting off ???

do you have the filter in ???? spree will do that when there no filter in the box or you have a air leek some were ...

I do have the air filter . I forgot to mention to turn it on I need to hold the throttle all the way down or else it won't turn on

Swimmingfree is right, that is classic spree lean condition right there. The air box lid might not be on right or has no gasket. Or the air filter is missing or not oiled, air hose not clamped to the carb. Or all of the above. The carb could be loose as well. Buy a new filter if the one that came with it is the least bit messed up. They come pre oiled so its a no brainer. If you do re oil the original one, you must use the oil that is stated in the manual. Do not use use WD 40 or spray air filter oil. It has to be the proper oil for it to have it run correctly.

Thank u guys for your help I will first check my air filter then put a little bit of oil to see if it helps if it does I'm buying a new one
