Looking for a belt for a Honda NH80/Aero 80

Post by dbailey »

Does anyone know where to buy a new drive belt for a Honda Aero 80? There's a couple on ebay but they're used. Honda seems to have discontinued the part. It could be that the exact same belt is still out there, but sold under a different part number.

Barring that, is there a site where you can order cogged metric belts of arbitrary dimensions? The NH80 takes a 745x15mm cogged belt, 30 degrees.

I've been researching a drive belt replacement for my aero 80 quite a while lately. No luck yet and I've been from one end of the web to the other. I've been meaning to pull my belt and take it in to the belt supply place I go to and get my guy to match it up. As soon as I find something I'll be posting for sure. The size I have for a belt is 23100-GN3-670 726 x 15.0 x 30 I'll have to measure mine and see what it is.

Google is a funny thing, when you get inspired with a new angle for a search and bam its finally what you are looking for. Here is what I just found. http://www.beltfrog.com/search/726%20x%2015.0%20x%2030
Not sure how close the three belts are but its a start.

I came up with a replacement I'll have to dig through my posts to remember what the number was. BX26 is my first thought but don't quote me on that.

As for the 23100-GN3-670, I think the guy who put the beltfrog up there is right with this one

https://www.beltfrog.com/part/106002986 ... V726-Bando

From bando. Pretty expensive from thosd guys, but their site is really good, and the sizing looks right on.

Bando 1922v726 (universal belt size from all manufacturers)

Quick search found the same Bando for $43

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/variable-spe ... 726-1.html

Also, they have Goodyear branded new belts on eBay on the cheap.

$18 !
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171999113381

$26!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151792462519

Or they also have this "D&D PowerDrive" (ddpowerdrive-belt.com) brand belts for about $39 on another site

http://powertranbelting.com/transmissio ... -6-length/

I think these are wrong. They look like they're enormous...

From beltfrog site:
Angle: 22
Length - Overall: 73.2 in.
Pitch Length: 72.6 in.
Ribs: 1
Width: 1.1875 in. (1 3/16)

So it looks like the search found 72.6 inches rather than 726 mm...

Ive gotten belts from this site before. Good quality and super cheap prices. Scour their site and see if they have what you need. Or maybe contact them direct with specs by phone to eliminate the headache. If they end up having what you need, I suggest buying a couple extra just for spares. Shipping will kill ya buying 1 at a time!
