84 spree afo5e?

Hello all my name is Fatboy I'm new to this forum I have an 84 spree with an afo5e engine is that right?from what I'm reading that engine should be in an 87 but it does not have a kick starter wore a variator other markings I have found are GK8 on the coil and CDI box anyway I've been messing with this thing for a while and cannot get it to run right I've clean the carburetor I've done everything I think I can and I cannot get it to go over 20 mph after that it Bogs please help any info would be greatly appreciated

It also has a Two pin by starter not a quick connect

what color is the plug???? what the gap on the plug?? the pin on the slide shood be set in the middle...

i just tried clip all the way up and it seems to run better than in the middle and definetly better than all the way down where i found it originaly but it still is not right

do you have the air flter on ??? these little motor do not run good with out it...

is the plug new is it set a 25???? how miles or on the scooter???
