Okay, I'm sick of the little pinprick of light...
I want a serviceable carb, and thanks to a friend I've come into a fairly new Jog carb for free. I hate cleaning the keihin that came with the bike every year, and since I have this laying around I'm wondering if a ruckus intake would in fact bolt up to the stock intake, and serve as an adapter similar to bear's so I can use the Jog carb on my Dio clone--forever making my life easier when cleaning the carb.

if you had a good fuel filter and new air filter you wouldnt need to keep cleaning the carb

Greetings:
Fuel evaporation will gum up a carb regardless of the filters. That pilot hole will be obstructed by the thinnest film of resin.
Drain the tank and run the engine until the carb bowl is dry. I did that for years on Outboards and snowmobiles and never had one clog up.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree Wheelman! I do exactly that, however because of the residuals from the fuel filter, I still get varnish occasionally that hurts the idle, and it's a royal pain in the rear to deal with... My tank is clean, but I want the flexibility of cleaning the pilot jet. As for PaulPauly... I know he just can't help but provide sarcasm without wit.

I love me some seafoam. Add some every once in a while and it will work wonders. If the scoot isn't stored properly for winter however, then a carb cleaning is a must.
As far as the ruck intake goes, give it a try and report back with your findings!!!

Seafoam in the fuel. Drain the carb with the drain provided on the carb and plug off the vent. 2 minutes and you are done.
