Difference between 5pin CDIs? Vertial vs Horizontal?

Looks like i need a replacement CDI for my AF18E.

Lots of the the CDIs are listed as for Horizontal Engine, is there any difference?

Would a generic noname $5 CDI likely work?

stick with a stock honda cdi if you wont you bike to be reliable

Turned out to not be a CDI problem.

Just a FYI for anyone else with this question, I did order the $5 Generic CDI, plugged it in and it seems to work identical to the Official Honda One.

Yes, the one I ordered was $3.79US shipped $4.13CAD, so I just rounded up to $5.
