oil leak question

was replacing my exhaust gasket and saw there is oil gathering on the hole in the picture and not sure where it is coming coming from and thoughts guys?

Give the area a really good clean and scrub with brake cleaner and go for a ride. Might be as simple as some oil you spilled a while back. If not, then with the area clean you should be able to see where its coming from.

Yeah I cleaned guess the better question is what is that for?

is this a se50 motor ? If so the japanese models like the dj1r have a extra mount holding the exhaust .Pull your fan cover see if theres oil splatered around the inside if so it could be a crank seal

I did replace the exhaust gasket graphite9 thought it sounded like it had a small leak. Wasn't cracked but old will check to see if there is any more oil this weekend when I get my rim put on.

It's hard to tell, and nobody knows LESS than I about Sprees, but isn't that the mounting hole for the cooling shroud? If so, there'd be a corresponding threaded hole in the crankcase unless it's not the shroud for that block.
