Elite runs great then dies HELP

I have a sr honda elite starts up great will run great for 15 min or so the die. Let it sit a few minutes start back up and it run a few min a die again. I've took carb off 3 times thinking it was dirty every time it's clean where to look next? Thanks

Do you have an extra ignition coil? I had a similar experience and I couldn't figure it out because it was intermittent. It started up well, ran alright for a few minutes, and then no go. Engine would still idle... If I let it sit, it would start up fine again. Weird. It turned out to be the ignition coil was faulty. This may or may not be the cause for you but it's a rather easy problem to fix.

Another thing that comes to mind is a dirty fuel filter. The petcock usually have a wire mesh filter, perhaps that may be clogged.

maybe it is running lean and soft seizing. Look into doing a plug chop. Use the search bar on the top right of this site and search plug chop. You will see. Post pics of the plug after riding for a few mins. People on here will be able to help.

I had the same issue and found the spark plug was the culprit.

This is where I would start. Maybe its not getting oil.
