Speedo not registering

As of about 1 PM my speedometer is not registering my speed anyone who can give me some insight would be greatly appreciated.

Is the cable turning from the front wheel?

Its a 1999 Elite. I believe it turns the from the front wheel. I took of the front fairing to see if anything was cut or broken and everything seems fine. It worked on my way to school and then just didn't when I left. Everything else works in the gauge pod though?noiseguy wrote:Is the cable turning from the front wheel?

Don't crash while doing this-
Take the cable off the speedometer, and move the thing (push it, drive slowly, etc) and watch the inside of the cable. Chances are, I'm guessing, it snapped.

Sometimes mine stays at zero, but it wakes up if I spank the instrument!

The Kawi KE100 enduro doesn't pick up until 20 or so.

Take off the screw that holds the speedo cable if the cable isn't broken then take off the front wheel and grease the drive gear inside the brake hub, this should be done every yr. which most riders fail to do, my cables are original on all my scoots- Hey "TEXASS" can you ride what i build
