AF18E Stator fit on AF16E?

Will the stator/alternator and pick up from an AF18E physically fit on an AF16E ? It seems that the wiring and regulator are the same, however the AF18E alternator produces 133w, which is more than either AF16E styles. Would seem like a good charging system update if they actually bolt on and fit.

I am currently running a af18 stator in my af16 seems to work just fine. The only thing is the length of the wiring is different and it's a stretch to get it to fit but it does.

The pick up is clocked at a different degree and the flywheel indicator mark is also clocked different on an af18. If you were to use it on an af16 you'd just have use your af16 flywheel with the af18 stator set, and vice versa for an af18. The pick up does not know or care what engine it is on, it only picks up and sends a signal at what ever point you set it at. If you were to try to use an af18 flywheel on an af16 regardless of what stator it would not work because the flywheel will have a different indicator point and it would fire far too soon.
Long story short, yes you can use an af18 stator on an af16 WITH the af16 flywheel.

You need an af18 stator and fw for your af18 I have here so you might want to keep them.

So, am I reading this correctly that you can use the af18e stator and pickup on the AF16 as long as you are using the af16 flywheel?
