Dangers of different coils

Post by Ruckenstein »

So I am need of a coil for my aero 80 but I have all kinds of coils from other Hondas and yamahas. Is there a danger to using a coil from a 50cc to my aero 80?

Not necessarily. You just want to make sure you have something that is going to be in a similar range for primary resistance.

You can use a 50 coil on a 80 aero. You can run a Yamaha coil as well. The resistance needs to be less than 1 ohm and below. You match it to the cdi output.
