Bike dies out at full throttle

Post by given123 »

I have a Honda elite I'm running a g dash pipe with a Polini Corsa
28 OKO carb

When I use the pilot jet size 60 bike bogs in the beginning only

When I use the pilot jet size 55 bike does not bog In the beginning but the bike dies out when I full throttle

While running the 55 pilot do I need to adjust the needle to stop it from dieing out at full throttle ?

Just an opinion here...28mm is SO BIG that when applied to an engine with not enough size to accommodate the carb, tuning issues are eminent. My opinion is that you are over-doing the carb size, making the tuning process unnecessarily tedious and finicky. Hopefully, some experienced tuner will comment and give you some direction... :urban:

Greetings:

More info needed. What's a G-Dash pipe? What air filter? What size Main? You CAN get a Corsa to run decent with a 28, but as Mike said it's a completely unnecessary challenge because few can use more than 26 or better 24. 28 adds nothing to the top end, plus it mucks up the low end. If it's whatcha got and no prospect to replace, try a size down on the main.

I agree ditch the 28mm carb go 24 or 26 max I have a 28mm on my dio mhr motor and its horrible! Too much carb and just wastes fuel. My motor will run decent in only certain circumstances. I will be investing in one of the new design polini carbs as soon as can have enough cash put aside for one in spring, I've been putting it off too long
