Hard starting

So my Aero currently has a 19mm Dellorto carb and 65cc polini kit on it. Any how for some reason if I leave it without running and the motor gets cold, it wont start anymore, so I check the plug and its dry, why isnt the fuel getting to the piston? Any ideas? By the way I check the plug after I turn the starter over for about 10-20sec. The only way to start it is to drop a pinch of gas into the cylinder, or spray some starter fluid into the carb.
