I've found a special that needs lots of work 6,000 plus miles.. it's complete but missing both side covers...also it doesn't have the Grey grips or white key or grey seat (I know they could of been replaced)....but it has the green speedo/white blinkers/green footboard and white fairings...all the white is destroyed and needs painted what is the paint code for the special?this says NH 138 under the seat.. just want to make sure it's a real special edition-Thank you

Lollipop Green code is G-113. NH-138 Shasta White. If it were myself personally, and I wanted to restore it to an SE Spree. I wouldn't be particular about the replacement color of the missing panels. As long as you prep right and get the correct codes, you can make it look good as new. The seat you can get replaced. The grips... not so much. But then don't sweat the details on that unless you want to be meticulous. They're just grips. I changed mine out on all my bikes.

P.S., Yes, that is a real deal SE Spree. All other white Sprees used the paint code NH-111 (Cortina White). Yours is a Lollipop/Shasta.

Did you ask him what swamp he pulled it from? The miles shown are always to be taken with a grain of salt. Swapping in a low-mileage speedo cluster is all too easy.

I bought an Elite from an original owner once. The mileage showed only 250 miles but he admitted to me that when he first got it, he ripped the speedo cable off while riding too close to his boat trailer in his driveway. He never fixed it and rode it for the next 20yrs off-n-on that way and didnt record a single mile since. It easily had 5000 mi or more judging by its condition.

He was a young kid and didn't know how to read the miles it was a impulse I got it for cheap, it needs lots of work bUT I figured it was rare and I can mess with it now that I have my other 1985 running ...and If I want I'm sure I could sell the rare speedo footboard and blinkers for triple altogether what I paid

it has been painted over the white and I'm getting it all off very easily I can't wait to see before and after....the floorboard is in very good shape also and blinkers are pretty nice along with the speedo....someone attempted to sand the dash plastic so that will need painted but the rest of the white plastic is in great skiny shape

I was pushing my poor scooter home on Saturday after my drive belt snapped and I was walking my scooter passed a gas station and I saw not one, but TWO of these White & Green sprees being filled with gas!! I yelled to them, "nice sprees!" they said thanks, I briefly remarked that my drive belt just snapped on mine, but they didn't seem to really react. Oh well.
