Spree bogs out

I Have a 84 Spree that bogs out with half throttle and only starts if i cover the air intake partly coverd. I put tape to cover the intake and put a small hole in it and runs a bit better but what is this problem. thanks

Most likely you have too large of a mainjet (my spree had the same problem until I went from a 68 to a 65 jet.).

no i think its a lean condition do a plug chop do you have an air filter? that would also give you a lean conditition clean y jetour carb something may be stuck in the jet.
