I was porting the intake on my AF16 case and through inattention cut through the center support on the intake. How bad is it?

I looked had a look and i think its strong enough, i didnt touch the top at all. I put the engine together and was going to run it, now im having second thoughts.

I have another case but i didnt was to have to port it and i have access to welders, id just rather not tear it all apart.

I'd go bug Joe Daniels on the Spree Riders Facebook page. He is a porting God. The 2 stroke Ninja.

"As long as the case never over heats its ok
One time over heating itll warp
Once warped you can use honda bond to fill the gap but its kind of a waste"

^^This was Joe's response.

Thank you kind sir.

I guess I'll run it then, and if I ever have the case open again, get it welded. One more thing, is it possible to get a definition of "overheat"

Greetings:

It's been about 8 or 9 years since I read a post from a respected Forumista who warned a would-be porting artist against removing this center port support. Evidently he felt it was going to be a guaranteed air leak and seize issue. No personal experience myself...
