Se50 gears vs aero 1985

Post by Ruckenstein »

I’ve got an 85 aero case that is sitting and wondered if the gears would swap with an 87 se50. I’ve seen where the 87se gears add extra top end and would like to keep them in case I mess with a 4 bolt af05 I have.

the 87 se50 is a 4 bolt af05, with that being said. I've swapped se50 gears into an 86. and those swap with the jdm af05's that I have. I think the jdm engines are 1988-90.
the thing I've been wondering is will the AB07 gears fit in an af05. that would give you even more top end. they're 7.??. the rear axle is similar the input shafts are same length, but use a spree inboard pulley bearing. outboard bearing is same as af05. not sure on case bearings though.
