1988 Elite LX stator

I'm a newbie here, so please bare with me.
I have a 1988 Elite LX with the af05e engine (I'm the original owner). My stator is bad and I need a new one.
I was on another forum and the only response I got was "Look on EBay." Well, I have and the only thing I have been able to find is a used stator for an '87 Spree. It would be older than the one I have. And. I'm not sure if that would work. I've never had any problems finding parts. But this one has me stumped.
Does anyone have any links for a new stator that would work on my scooter?. I'm a retired Rv'er and this scooter is my only means of local transportation.
If anyone could help me, it would sure make this old man happy.
