Hey all I am new here but am in need of some help. I have a 86 Spree with 800 miles that I purchased from a guy in Colorado. I am using it in Wisconsin which is over a mile different in altitude. When I got the spree it didn't idle, but would run. I tuned up the carburetor and the the spree will run fine but only with half of the air intake plugged up, therefore it only gets half of the air possible. I checked the main jet and needle they are 65 and 5S. I have played with the needle depth setting and it works best when the clip is on the bottom groove allowing the needle to be as high as possible.
I don't have any real good ideas why this is, I am assuming the reed value and the crank seals are good.
Please give me some input if you have any?
Thanks,
galescspree
