Just like the title says...
Will an AF05 mag work on my AF16 block?
I had trouble finding a AF16 mag but someone told me the AF05 one will work. I ended up scoring a cheap AF05 mag to try out but I'm sure someone in here can answer this for me....
LMK, thanks hammahz

What is a mag? To me, that is an abbreviation for a magneto, and neither engine has one. Please be specific as to what part you are asking about. Look at the parts fiches here and report back:

IRC AF05's flywheels I have looked at (Aero50 85-87, Elite 50SE) would be a non-starter when mounted on an AF16.
Look at the timing difference between the key slot in the flywheel vs the raised outer surface of the flywheel that the spark pulse trigger senses.
The key slot to flywgeel spark trigger feature is about 180 degrees on the early AF05 vs about 90 degrees on the AF16.
