There is a lot of play in the shaft that the variator sits on, I believe that is the crank please correct me if I’m wrong I’ll attach a image of it. If it is the crank what should I replace it with? I have a AF16 and I was probably just going to buy a new crankshaft off scooter swap shop but I wanted some input first.
Thanks,
Casper

Re: I think I need a new crank
Crank is probably fine. The slop youre feeling is the crank bearings…which are not fine.
Keep running it like that and pretty soon the crank will not be fine.
Crank bearing replacement requires a full teardown of the engine case and a few specialized tools. Flywheel puller, crank puller, v-blocks and gauge to check runout to name a few. Deep knowledge is also required to attempt this. The parts are pretty cheap since you can get a set of fresh bearings and seals for under $50. Its the labor that’ll getcha!

I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.
