Please help me identify this Noise. (Video enclosed)

Please help me identify this noise, it's not the gearinng, not the clutch/belt, any ideas? It's a 4 stroke.

It idels smoothly, but makes this noise. Idels and drives smooth. Customer said it was a bit slower then usual.
Any help much appreciated.

Sorry, not the best vid, used camera phone. It's a type of hollow ratteling poping noise-ish.

Not improper octane gas either. This thing requires 90octane or higher, he has 91 in it, i flushed and filled with 91 again to make sure.

Maybe carbon deposits upped the compression to a point where 91 is to low. Try putting higher octane gas in it just to be sure.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Sounds like an exhaust leak.

Too late, :( It went out in a blaze of glorious while smoke. Was pretty, but kinda sucks.

It was just barely under warrinty yet, got a brand new replacment engine on the way to pop in their ^_^

Still dont know what it was :( I was thinking barings. idel'd smooth as *, aside for that noise @_@ :(

I'd take it apart to see what happened. I'm betting it was either a crank or rod bearing as well.
