Elite 50 lx dash lights

Dash lights, do they come on with the key or just when the motor is running? Everything but the headlight and the dash light currently come on with the key. Engine is waiting on parts so its not running at the moment, but I want to get everything elso sorted. Also if they are supposed to come on with the key how in the * do i get the cover off around the speedo? I tried with last night and there were screws I couldn't get too.

dash and headlight only come on when the engine is running everything else is key on.

my head light is always on when my motors running, and when i turn it to high it turns brighter.
well i was riding the other night and had it on dim. it randomly turned off. i thought i blew the bulb oh well.
i got home and when it was idling i tried it to high and it turned on. so now my head light only turns on if my bright is on. is this an easy fix?

You lost the low filiment on the bulb. Either run it on high all the time or get a new headlight with both elements intact.

makes since, i wasn't aware of how bulbs work. i thought the bright switch just killed half power or something. ok thanks
