I NEED HELP WITH A ENGINE

Post by darat »

Ok i have a 1987 elite se50p and is all most the same as the spree and i have a new air cleaner and the carb was just redone by a honda dealer. any ways i need some help with it. it will sit there and idel with no problem but when i let it wide open it has no power. it has over 3000 miles on it. it only does 15 at the most if i get a good wind lol. do u think that it might need a rebuild. my finger does not pop when i put is on the spark plug hole. Ring job?

check compression first. usually needing rings means it has no acceleration power but will speed up to the right speed eventually.

yeah, really sucks when u strip the threads.its especially easy with aluminum. then u have to go through the trouble of re-tapping the holes and trying to find a bigger bolt.it just sux.
