Throttle slide

I recently took my carb off to clean it and I started putting it back on today. I bolted the carb on and then screwed in the throttle slide. The throttle (twist handle) does not seem to turn like it did before, and it does not spring back, Do I need to oil the carb slide? Thanks.

You probably got the throttle slide in incorrectly. Pull it back out and try again. I've had the same thing happen before. It's a 30 second fix.

It's more about feel, at least that's how I did it. When it's set correctly, the throttle at the handle will feel right.

You will know because you wont be able to screw the cap on all the way if its installed incorrectly. It should tighten by hand with no tension, if you feel tension, turn the slide 180 degreees and you should be good.

It will fall all the way down when put in correctly ans as stated before, you will be able to screw the top back on very easily.

Also if its not in there correctly and you twist the throttle it wont twist at all. you will have no play in the throttle cable.
