What ring set?

Post by ferchja »

There are two ring sets listed on the part fish, other than the oversizes. One is called "Rings, Piston" and the other is "Rings (STD)" I have both cause the local part counter screwed up the order. Which do you think is the stock set? I don't want to open them cause I don't think I can return it to them.

I assume those who have ordered rings can tell me the difference or enlighten me as to why there are two sets with what seem to be the same name.

Thanks in advance

iwould guess "rings, piston would be it at long as it doesnt say oversized,or whatever.then again std can stand for stock diameter, so i wouldnt kno.

The part guy couldn't tell me either....it's a mystery.

Anyone order rings here recently? What is the part number you ordered? I will match to what I have and go with the concensus.

Thanks

I can get you the part number for stock rings, but it's in my other car. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Thanks guys! Once I see what part numbers worked for you, I will be more confident to return the other one.
