Weak spark, 1987 Elite ES50 what to check?

Hi everyone.
Being new here, I have searched for my answer or something close.

This is kind of weird in that I have spark but its so weak its hard to see.
The symptoms in the past was it was hard starting, once started, it ran like new with plenty of power. It would only be hard starting if it sat for a month or so.
I did see problems with the choke and can look at that but want to figure out the spark thing first.
I also seen some things about the CDI but when I looked a the 1988 manual, its much different than my 1987. I am not sure what I am looking at.
Does anyone have any images of a 1987 ES50 to share as so I might be able to identify the CDI and other parts to possibly check?

I also have a Honda Spree of about the same years. I really need to lay it down and look at the tag ID on it. I am thinking of using it for parts and parting it out as the kicker shaft is loose or broken.
It ran about 5 years ago and still turns over, but anyway, hoping if it has a CDI I can rob it to possibly test with.[/b]
