84 spree idels no power

Post by franco »

I think I know the answer to my question but I would appreciate some input. I have an 84 spree that was put away with gas in it for 4 years or so. The carb was like varnish. I have cleaned the tank and carb and was able to get her (of course its a her) to turn over. She will run on the stand but once I give her full throttle or try to ride she bogs right down. I kinda did a rush job on the carb. and I am just curious if this is a jet problem or if there is somethig else I should try. My guess is take carb apart AGAIN and do a better job on the jets.....

Main jet is clogged and/or bystarter oring is not sealing and causing a vacuum leak (outside air is getting past the bystarter)
