can you mix your oil???

can you just mix your oil with the gas and take off the oiltank??

I think that would mess up the carb...

My Spree had not been running for 6 or 7 years when I got it started. Not knowing if my oil pump was pumping enough oil, I decided to blend some of the injection oil in the gas tank. The Spree ran for a time but the small idle jet would clog and cause problems. After experiencing clogging and cleaning, more clogging and cleaning, I drained the premix, flushed the tank and lines...and never had another problem. I don't know if I failed to stir the oil and gas enough or if the oil in the tank (at least 6 or 7 years old) was beyond it's shelf life or what. But my pre-mix experince with the Spree was not good.

its possable it didnt mix right. i destroyed a trimmer only to find out the oil sank to the bottom of the container and i was putting in straight gas.
