spree runs at a high idle.cant get the idle down.the adjustment screws dont seem to make any difference.when i start it up it takes off at high speed and then quits.when i stick my finger down insidethe air chamber i can get it to run normal, but the minute i take my finger away it starts going back to the high idle and then quits.need help
thanks

sounds like if its not that then the carb needs to be cleaned. its easy, and you dont need a rebuild kit.

You have a bad oring on the bystarter. Replace the oring and it will idle fine. Check my post on testing the bystarter vacuum and if that works you know 100% its the oring on the bystarter.

Main needle does nothing if the bike is at idle. Idle enriching circuit and the bystarter are the key to idle once the scooter gets warmed up.

If the little hole in the bowl is open to allow gas into the bystarter enriching circuit/needle than what you have is a vaccum leak around the bystarter to the outside air.
