You may have a short in the wire/connection causing a high amp draw at the light. This heats the bulb up and causes it to burn out. On my Yamaha Seca 400 (1982) the fuse connections were brittle and corroded and the fuses would heat up until they were boiling, the fuses eventually failed within hours of installing as new. Removed and installed new connectors at the fuses and now can touch them with my bare hands. Even though the wire/connection may look good the metal itself may be brittle and with age, a poor conductor (i.e. High resistance).
The regulator/rectifier may be putting out too much voltage on the light coil. You can test that with a multimeter.
