how much compression? try hand choking it?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Starting fluid + reed valve two strokes = blown reed valves

Don't use starting fluid except in an extreme cold weather conditions.

I am with Bear on this one except my concern is not with the reeds.

On a Two-Stroke all internal parts of the engine are lubed VIA oil mixed with the fuel. Starting fluid wipes away all the lubrication present on crankshaft, connecting rod, bearings, piston skirts, rings, etc.

This is a good way to add a years worth of wear and tear to your motor in a matter of minutes!

For testing etc. use a oil-squirt can wit gas and oil mixture in it and NOT starting fluids or ether.

The washing off oil is reason #2. When working on 2 stroke outboards, I had an oil can on the test tank with gas/oil mix just for priming purposes. We had starting fluid out front in the store, but it the shop, it was outlawed.

1-PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Try an experiment:

1. Turn the MIXTURE screw all the way in until it gently seats.

2. Try to start motor.

Remember, the mixture screw is the smaller one beneath the idle screw.

If the motor starts, back the screw out to its proper setting @ 1 7/8 turns.

If this works, report back and I'll tellya what the problem is.
If this DOESN't work - well, I tried.

If you rebuilt the carb then you will more than likely need to hand choke it, that is if the vacuum petcock is working as it should. Another thing you can do is put the vacuum hose that runs to the petcock in ur mouth and suck on it. Keep steady pressure on it for a little bit. That will allow the petcock to open and let the fuel flow into the carb.

Well, I tried everything mentioned here. But then i noticed that it was WAY over furling, so i poped off the carb, took off the bowl, inspected the float and the valve thing, i saw nothing wrong. I put it all back together, and she ran. Now she runs like a charm.

BUT, there's still one more problem. I think my starter selenoid is broke. The only way to start it is to manually move the thing inside of it over.

Where can i get one?
