What you need depends on how it seized. Pulling the head and looking inside will tell you a lot. Once you get the piston out you can inspect the bearings. Did it run out of oil while running, run too long on one set of rings, seize while sitting?

yeh ur best bet would be if just the piston seized, then you can do a top-end rebuild. Before my second rebuild my piston seized and scratched up the cylinder, and these tiny cylinders are expensive to bore out. I just ordered a used one from scootertherapy.com cost about $25 w/ shipping included. then I just payed for piston, rings, pin, clip.. so a total of about $80 for second rebuild.

Now if you take off your cylinder and notice that you cannot turn over the crank by hand, then you may have deeper crankshaft damage.. that would be grounds for a complete engine+case transplant, since replacing parts would be lots of $$$.

just some advice and ideas to think about.
projects galore :nerd:

i would take it all apart, replace all bearings and seals, try to salvage the cylinder.. if not, just upsize the piston and put it back together. As far as the crank.. if it is frozen. i would try to find a used one possibly. I got a new one, but i also got really lucky with finding it.
