k i have spent many hours trying to figure out whats wrong but havent yet
. i have 2 sprees an 84 and an 86 on both i haved grinded the heades about 15 thou and drilled out the intake manifold. the 84 is running fine and gets up to about 33-35. but on my 86 it only gets up to 35 if i that of the filter from the carb and if i run it with the filter it goes to about 25. i have no clue what could be going on...........

if it goes slower with the filter then it is dirty. if its not that then make sure the carb jet is a #65

there was a 68 in there but i took it out and mad it a bit bigger(just a tiny bit) but i oredered a 65 an should be in tom i'll try and see if that works

um, making it bigger is just going to make your problem worse. it was already too big, and u made it bigger.

Your hand-enlarged jet is making it run pig-rich, thus you need lots of air. If you plan to run the stock aircleaner get a stock jet. Otherwise, see tech docs about redrilling jets.

i put my 65 in and its beter but im only getting around 30 and witht he things i've done i think i should be getting around 33 35. wut could i do to give it that extra little boost to get it there

you could always get an aftermarket filter.

i was thinkin on making my on airfilter but making a scoop for it. but i dont kno if it will work. do u kno of anybody that has done it???

well i mande it and it looks pretty sick but i dont now what kind of air filter element i should use... and ideas????
