Just out of curiousity I was wondering what kind of ideal rpm i should be running with my 94 elite. I have a 72cc bore, 28mm oko, dual reed manifold, 8 to 1 gears, 1500 clutch spring, high speed variator, and my pipe is the stock pipe but completely hollowed out. I think the pipe is hurting my top speed cuz i can only get it to about 52mph and from what everyone says it should be in the 60's. I want to get one of those tiny tachs but they only go to 9,900 rpm and i wasnt sure if that was enough. Thank you and any advise would help tremendously.

really depends on what your pipe can push, with gutted stock i'd guess no more than 9k, 9-10k+ with good pipe
projects galore :nerd:

I bought the cheap borekit from vt cycles last year and have never had a problem. My belt rides about a 1/4 inch from the top or so.
