After reassembling the bike, I found an extra part... Not sure where it goes or if it is even from the bike. Looks to be a spacer of some sort. Can anybody help?

Locating dowel

Gerrtings:

It's a locating dowel. There are a couple in the tranny cover, a few more in the block facing the belt cover. there are two between the crankcase halves if you went that deep. It's not critical, but helps to line up the respective gaskets during assembly.

ON the Aero there are two thicker ones on the rear part of the frame where the plastics mount, but they are flat-ended.

It'd help if I/we knew what model & year of bike we were discussing.

Only the plastic side covers have been removed to get to the carb. It's a 1984 NQ50.

#14 in the picture, it keeps the acorn nut from crushing the body panel.
