Carb problems?

Post by Speedway_Kartworks »

I cant get my spree to run unless i manualy choke it, it wil start and run a few secons then die, if i let it sit a few minutes it will start again a few seconds and die, if I start it and manually choke it it will run untill i take my hand away from the carb intake an then dies.while its runnning I have to keep about 1 finger width over the intake tokeep it running.I have pulled the carb and cleaned it, still nothing doing. Any advise?

Thanks
MG

sounds to me its starving for fuel. start with the gas tank. make sure the filters clean in the tank. check the petcock on the tank. make sure its working properly. check the fuel lines. finally the carb. take apart and clean. u compressed air to blow out all holes. 8)

what ever stock is, me and my buddy have our scooters from when we were 15( 20 some years ago or so)and are original owners, we have went through both carbs and even swaped carbs on each others bikes and they both do excatly the same as I described above. thinking maybe just buy new carbs and rule that out? Boggled
