CDI question
i have a 1986 honda spree. i believe it is electronicly governed, as i lookde in the pipe no washer and no plate on the back of the clutch as i have seen others say. so my question is. is there a way to bypass the cdi and still make it start and not be restricted? mine will only go 27-30 on good days.

Re: CDI question
A stock Honda CDI is good for over 10,000 rpm, you are only hitting 8,000 or so. That's just how they are, there is no variable gearing on a spree so it feels that way.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
