You might have to wait a bit longer. I know bear has them, but i'm sure he is hunting at the moment. Did you buy some yet?jamadi112233 wrote:Are they really So fast, that no one lived to tell about them???

I haven't bought mine yet. I'm $20 bucks away in my scooter fund. I was hoping to hear some feed back on the set up first. It seems like i may be one of the first to drop them in. I just installed the bore kit monday, and im more impressed the further it breaks in. I just hope that i'll be able to hit 40mph. I dont need anymore speed than that on a Spree

I actually put gears in one of my sprees. I did it yesterday. I pulled out the GPS and hit 46 on a straight away. took a few. It goes to 43mph pretty fast but then takes a few to climb to 46mph. I did not port or polish a thing. Just the simple 44mmBBK and gears with a 90 main jet, uni free flow. I figure with a 47mm kit the spree will do 50mph+ with upgraded gear ratio. the ride was smooth as silk. I was very impressed. Just think what you tweekers can do.

Re: what speeds are people seeing with the spree gears?
wait wait wait..... you're telling me you got a HONDA SPREE to hit 46 mph with only a simple gear change and a bolt on cylinder kit? To say I'm skeptical is an understatement... ![confused ](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
I realize a guy's gotta sell his product, but 16mph top speed change from just these two things?![jack :jack:](./images/smilies/*.gif)

Re: what speeds are people seeing with the spree gears?
It not like I was climbing a hill doing 46mph. It was a straight away on flat long long surface with one small downhill slope.. The gears get me to about 40-41mph with not much effort. The spree takes off like a regular spree now but has much more top end. So it is give and take. I have a stock pipe, no tricks. I dont have the time to port and poish my cylinder and intake manifold. I am a full time student about 18 credits away from BA of science in business, and I do alot of repairs an motorcycles and ATV's.
My set up is simple. 44mm BBK, 90 main jet, uni free flow, and upgaded gear ratio. My spree went 30mph allready so I gained about 8-10 mph on the top end consistentlly. Now all you Bug a Boo's can tweek more speed than i can out of this set up. I dont have the time. You guys are lucky I like spree's.![thumbwink :thumbwink:](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Re: what speeds are people seeing with the spree gears?
oh yahh the bigger tire you use will slow you down. I use stock 2.50*10(duro) I will give you an example, The yamaha razz uses a 2.50* 10 but the yamaha mint from japan which has the exact same engine uses a rim size of 8. So the tire size on the Yamaha mint(razz) uses a tire size of 2.50*8. Now this smaller rim helps you accelerat so much faster than the 10" rim. The mint will smoke the razz on take off but the top end is the same. So is the smaller rim acting as gear in theory? Good question for wheelman...
If you could put a 8 inch rim on the spree rear you would have so much better acceleration. Just a thought.
