Greetings:

Which size Scorpion? Which size V8?

Assuming the new exhaust is Much Bigger, then the RPM where the engine "comes on the pipe" will go up.
At higher RPM, the air through the carb will increase. Those "great-running" jets sounded small to start with. I suspect the Pilot especially needs like 3- 4 sizes bigger to meet the new demand.
I ran 60/160 in a 28/30mm OKO with PG long at only 85cc, for example.

Also jumping from 48 to 30 grams is huge. Maybe you "overshot", perhaps by a lot.
Consider splitting the difference with 6.5s and see?

Finally, consider the possibility that the Scorpion is smaller, not bigger than that V8. If it was used, maybe a simple case of carbonization? That'd make it Act smaller too.

The v8 was the biggest v8 33mm inlet~ running 142main 52pilot max temp 288 wot was running perfect. I put on the scorpion pipe same 33mm inlet but huge all the to can looks like the pg big stroker pipe or maybe a little fatter.

Greetings:

CHT = Cylinder Head Temps, sorry to get all. Technical on you.
You said you saw 288 with the V8. What were the temps with the Scorpion? How does the spark plug look? If it's pale, lighter than "cardboard", then jet up some more. Do try 6.5 = 39 grams.

pull the plug and look at it. 288 temps is really low. you want to be around 325-360 at wot.put a new plug in since you have a new setup.make sure to check you plug gap too. I set mine at .024. up that pilot to a 55 also
Nothing like getting stroked!
