Head Gasket a little bit bent

Post by NetCustoms »

Purchased a 50mm kit and when I went to put it on today I noticed that the head gasket wouldn't lay flay on my work bench and it had a bend in it. I was going to take a picture but forgot, maybe put one up tomorrow. I figure the torqueing down should just straighten it but just wanted to know if anyone put on a slightly bent gasket before and sealed correctly. Also, should i use washers on the studs or just use some M6 nuts? The kit didn't have the M6 nuts with it so I don't know what ppl are using, the ones that I have seen in other kits seem different then I can buy at a place local.

as long as it isn't over 15 degree bend it should be fine
If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.
