The spree intakes came in today. Wow. They really add some serious acceleration to my spree with the 48mm kit. Takes off very strong. It was raining and I have to dial it in a bit. Will post pics tomorow. I am running a 21mm carb. hehe. Wait til you see this.
I dont have a spree.... But I can't wait to see them!! -taz's parts are some top notch stuff!!

Do you have any pics of your spree intake mani and your spree performance pipe, Taz?
I cannot wait to see what you came up with for the pipe...
It's about time someone manufactured a pipe for the spree!

With the 48bbk, 21mm carb, CT Mani, and exhaust pipe i would bet the spree could go a solid 45 all day long.
Couple in the clutch mod and bigger tire and the wimpy spree engine just turned into a relative beast!

Not without the gears it won't.

First question, and this is for everyone, how does this compare to the CT Mani that I see talked about all over the board? Could this be adapted to a 6 reed setup?
Second question, for Taz, is the only available throttle cable color blue? Much rather have a black one...nothing vinyl dye wouldn't fix I guess.

Sweet on the IS part, but what about what you had said here:
"The 6 petal compared to 4 petal reeds will improve the bottom end and mid range throttle response and performance. The old multiple carb adage applies here, "a lot of little holes is better than a couple of big holes." The top end will not be hurt and depending on the area of the reed openings can be improved."
The 6 petal will help the bottom end but without a variator the Spree isn't going to be able to really utilize it. I will be saving my money when this set up goes on my Spree. Increased compression and finding some higher RPM clutch springs will help more than going with the 6 petal reeds.

Ok, thanks. I'll roll with the original until I get to point of being in the "what the heck can I do next" stage.
Insetad of going off topic, I'd like to know more about these higher RPM clutch springs if you have time for a PM sometime soon.

Cool, good to know. I'm really thinking about going with this thing. Hopefully Taz will chime in with a full breakdown on the kit when he gets a moment.
