CHT Temps, what are yours?

Does your Spree/Elite already run great, and you're trying to make it quicker/faster? Need a monster motor swap? Discuss your ideas here.

However, I have an odd loss of power right around 20mph
It sounds almost like bogging, the exhaust sounds different, and it gets a bit raspy.
Instead of bahhhhhhhh it's bah bah bah bah bah

Any ideas what could be causing that?
The engine is 4 stroking, either from too rich or too lean. Run it where it does this and do a plug chop while it is doing it. The plug will tell you where the needle needs to moved. I suspect you are to rich on the needle, but that is just a guess.

Put the clip one up from the middle (or three up from the bottom).

Does your 21mm oko have the power jet.

Alright so now im a bit stumped.

42, 112

When the clip position is in the middle notch it is too lean. I get on it to go and when i given it gas it dies. No 4 stroking just dies.
I moved the clip down 1 notch and now it is too rich. 4 stroking off the line and not getting any speed.

Im stumped  :*:

Greetings:

4-stroking can occur in both Rich and Lean situations. What does the plug say? What CHT temperatures?

Check carefully for vacuum leaks, cylinder base and head gaskets and exhaust leaks. It is nearly impossible to tune if something isn't tight.

How does it idle?

---Describe the idle on a cold start

---Describe the idle once it's "warmed up"
-does the idle "improve" once it's warms up?

Does it run/idle with the choke on? (after the engine is warmed up)

Does it run with the air mixture screw turned all the way "in"?

You may have a possible intake leak....but tell us about the idle characteristics...

Turns out my Daytona temperature gauge was not the problem at hand, but instead the KOSO temperature sensor. KOSO North America was more than good to me by sending me a replacement at no charge. All is well and temp gauge is solid...!
